In the Rainforest

Dennis sent me this fabulous picture he took on a tour of the rainforest yesterday. He says this ant is the size of his thumb. I'll post more pictures when he sends them. I'd be jealous, but ants the size of a man's thumb?! No thanks.

ooh. interesting, but yeah, we don't need such ants! we've got enough with fire ants here in Savannah!

I sure envy his trip, though.

Oooh, fire ants. Ouch. Are they a big problem there?

I'm living vicariously through Dennis - I'd never be brave enough to travel someplace like Costa Rica (not to mention I don't fly, which would be problematic).

ooh! those ants is huge. and scaring me. like an ABC Movie of the Week.

yet, i'm inextricably drawn to the exotics of the very huge ants.

Well, they ARE very interesting and kind of cool from a distance (like say, in a picture). We just don't want to see them up close, right? Flying roaches...*shudder*,,,
