walk like an egyptian
Egyptian princess dress-up from New Knits on the Block. I knit this as a surprise for Emma's birthday (she's been asking for it for months) and she loves it. Overall it was a fun, fast, and fairly easy knit, though the wig was pretty labor intensive. Definitely well worth it, and now Kate wants one too.

Adorable! Great job on that. Your daughter is one lucky little girl. Happy birthday Emma!
Wow, how cute does it get?? Thee of many talents!
Oh Gosh, Sharon - how stunning is Emma and the whole Cleopatra look! This is cat-walk fashion that brings knitting to totally new heights for me! Well done!
OMG! I want one!! Emma looks great, you did a fab job...
Pass on my happy birthday to her.

The costume is hilarious, and so beautifully knitted! Well duh, you should have known you'd end up having to make two! ;-)

Faith, just think of all the great girly knits that loom in your future, now that your little gal is here! Thanks for coming by.
Bev, funny, but I always think of YOU as having many many talents. Thanks!
Liz, thanks! Emma has those dark eyes and hair, so the whole Cleopatra thing kind of comes naturally to her anyway. It's so much fun!
Cheryl, I'm sorry to say it's a one size only pattern. But if you think you can fit into a size 6-8 (yrs), then I'll give it a go ; )
Harriet, thanks! Lucky for me, the pattern really does only come in one size, so Kate will just have to wait until Emma outgrows it and she's big enough to wear it.
Michi, just the thought of me in a costume like that is terrifying. Yikes! I'll leave this one for the little gals. Thanks!
So cute. You can tell from the photos how pleased Emma is with her outfit.
What a cool mum you are.
Thanks Debra!
