juked

One more publication!

My poem Seven Reasons We Never Met for Drinks at the Sand Dollar Lounge is up at juked now.

This one came out of my sixth round of 30/30 and is precisely why I love doing 30 poems in 30 days. I would never have been able to let myself write something like this under normal circumstances. I may have to jump back into the madness soon.

Thanks Michi! It's very, very tempting to come back. I'm enjoying my 10 poems with Emma, but it's definitely harder without other lunatics, er, poets, to offer encouragement and inspiration. I don't know if I'm *that* mad, though ; )

wheeeeee!! congrats on the recent publications, sharon!

and teehee, i remember that juked poem from 30:30. love it!

hope to see you back soon. incidentally, i wrote a poem based on a line by wendy cope — which goes: "I had this bird called Sharon. Fond of gin—"

it reminded me for some reason of you. the gin, not the bird.

oh, just discovered this forum "the waters" (http://p072.ezboard.com/bthewaters35527) — where they're doing a 7:7 challenge (as opposed to 30:30 in ITWS). thought you might be interested.

Arlene, you silly goose, it's Guinness, not gin! I do appreciate being called a bird, though (*preen*). I'm actually a member over at The Waters, but haven't actually posted anything yet. It's been crazy in these parts lately and life has supplanted writing, for the most part. Hope to get back to it very soon!
