The mermaid costume looks so sea-weedy, it's wonderful! Emma looks very nice in the little headscarf, now I think I'll copy you and do one for Abby too - did you just make it up yourself? Heck, I might even make myself one!

Faith - Thanks! The mermaid is from New Knits on the Block by Vickie Howell. They have some cool boy dress-ups in there too, if your little guys are into that at all.

Michi - Yeah, I agree, I'd love to be a pretend mermaid too. Hope your vacation is great!

Harriet - yeah, I just knit a triangle for the scarf until it seemed the right size. I'm not thrilled with how I did the ties; I'll have to come up with a better method next time. Samantha (the doll) is patiently awaiting a matching scarf of her own, and of course Kate wants one now. I was quite pleased with the yarn I found for the mermaid outfit.

Arlene - Thanks!! I can't tell you how great it IS to be back on my feet. The mermaid tail is so cool, and the fish scale pattern - I like to just look at it and dream mer-dreams.
