Quick!

Head over to this week's edition of Quiction and read my flash "Migrations."

Wow. There's such depth to this piece. Every word resonates. Each is so carefully chosen and placed-- "cry dry tears of ash," "a carpet for the ancestors of man,"
"the hoof beat heartbeat" . . . I could go on. Each sentence is a poem.

I want to say more, because there's one especially brilliant choice here that plays off of the lyricism of the piece, but I don't want to spoil the reading experience for others. So I'll keep it to myself for now, and just say, "Great work!"

Thank you, Matt! This one straddles the line between flash and prose poetry, which makes some people uncomfortable. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

I clicked over, but couldn't find it. Was I too late?

Patry - sorry you missed it! It only stays up for a week at Quiction, and there's no archive. Plus I was so caught up in NaNoWriMo, I didn't put it up very early in the week. Oop!

I'll post it on my blog sometime in the next week or two, if you want to check back.
