When Worlds Collide

Hello blog readers!

Let me ask you a question -- do you come here for the knitting or the writing?

Now you can have both!

Check out my story This is Just Another Yarn in the current issue of SmokeLong Quarterly and see what happens when two of my obsessions come together in one place.

This is one of my personal favorites; I hope you enjoy it as well. As always, it's published under my pen-name Ann Walters.

This is great! I think my favorite part is when the cat packs his little suitcase with mohair sweaters. And I love what you said in the interview about poetry and flash being part of the same continuum. I feel the same.

I love this, too. My favorite part is the kitten being snared as in a spiderweb.

Theresa: Thanks! About poetry vs. flash - don't you hate it when you have to decide how to submit your work and it doesn't really fall into either category very clearly? I like publications that are loose with their definitions and just say send it on in.

Dave: I'm so delighted to be part of this wonderful issue! Thanks!

Nicole: Thanks! It's funny how my knitting posts always seem to get more comments, even from other writers. I never know why people are coming here, but I'm glad you do! And I'm glad you liked the story.

Patry - I'm not sure it's the best advertisement for knitting. Might be more of a cautionary tale ; )

Matt - Thanks! What's up with your blog? I've tried to visit several times but it never loads anymore. Glad to see you're still around.
